.40 Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Certification as a phlebotomist Position Summary The primary responsibility of the Phlebotomist is collecting and processing blood samples (e.g., centrifuging in the lab, performing aliquots on-site) as well as proper labeling and adherence to biosafety procedures. Phlebotomist may be asked to collect other physical measurements, such as blood pressure, height, weight, and hip/waist measures. Duties may include recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Ensures compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
