Schedule/Hours: 12-hour shifts: 7:00-19:00 and 19:00-7:00 Every other weekend rotation No call required Holiday commitment: 75% of contract holidays Schedule cycles every six weeks Key Qualifications: Valid RN license Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficient in stroke care/NIH assessments, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, and various drain/tube management Strong skills in medication/drip management, including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IV fluids Comfort with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Philips monitors Willingness to float within the region as needed Primary Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with a range of diagnoses including stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed Manage patient loads up to 1:7-8 during surge periods, though typically 1:5-6 Perform assessments, manage medications/drips, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Float between designated hospitals within the regional network Document care efficiently using Epic Support and mentor CNAs as part of the care team Exceptional Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare options and 401(k) plans for your peace of mind and future security Tax-advantaged stipends and travel assistance to maximize your take-home and simplify relocation Premium compensation and consistent contract opportunities deliver both stability and reward Free parking and provided uniforms (navy blue scrubs) Ample downtime to explore charming local shops, beautiful state parks, and nearby lakes Venture into your next rewarding assignment in Albemarlewhere both your career and sense of adventure can thrive.
