We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce precision parts that meet all applicable quality and dimensional requirements. The CNC Machinist will perform machine setups, operate CNC equipment, inspect finished parts using a variety of precision measuring equipment, and make adjustments as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints, understand G&M programming, and apply GD&T principles. 2nd shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am (Overtime goes until 1:30 am) Note: 2nd shift will train on 1st shift


Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned CNC machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Read and understand G&M programming.
• Inspect completed parts using a variety of precision gauging equipment, including CMM.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other common inspection equipment.
• Make necessary machine or process adjustments to maintain required specifications.
• Perform first-piece inspections and sample verification of work completed throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and timekeeping records.
• Assist with training other operators in the safe and proper operation of CNC equipment.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company quality and safety requirements.

Requirements: Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Previous CNC machining and setup experience required.
• Ability to read and understand G&M programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of tool maker or tool room experience strongly preferred.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with CMM inspection equipment.
• Experience training or mentoring other CNC operators.

The ideal candidate is an experienced CNC Machinist with strong mechanical and inspection skills who can confidently set up and operate CNC equipment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working from detailed blueprints, interpreting G&M programming, applying GD&T, and using precision measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specifications. Candidates with tool room, tool maker, or aerospace manufacturing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
