Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility. Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period. Scheduling done in 4-week increments with manager support to balance workload.

Highlights:

• 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing needs
• Advanced critical care equipment including ventilators, external ventricular drains (EVDs), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED), and EV 1000 monitoring systems
• Documentation system: Meditech EMR
• Unit secretary support available during day shift; occasional nurse extern assistance
• Exposure to advanced procedures including central line insertions, arterial line placements, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD placements
• Multiple positions available with opportunity to work alongside experienced critical care team

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Previous ICU nursing experience required
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required
