About the Position

Job Title: Step Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - IMC experience - Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: This position is for a Step Down Registered Nurse. The selected candidate will float between units as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is a hard stop requirement. Candidates will not be considered if they cannot meet this requirement. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including renal conditions. The average daily census for the unit is approximately 28.8 patients. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Candidates will need to manage specific equipment and perform specialized procedures relevant to the patient population. The dress code for nursing personnel consists of solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire.
