Our customer's imagination, our expertise, together creates limitless possibilities.We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a MIG Welder who will join our team of skilled craftsmen in the production of high-quality finished manufactured trailers. This position will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and ensuring the structural integrity of various finished products. This position will include a majority of aluminum welding and some steel welding. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.Work performed will be on customized trailers built from ground up. The shift hours are 7am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding operations on finished manufactured trailers according to established specifications, blueprints, and work instructionsSelect and set up appropriate welding equipment, materials, and gases for each specific jobClean, prepare, and inspect surfaces to be welded, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment of componentsExecute precise welding techniques to join metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials, maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanshipMonitor and adjust welding parameters as needed to achieve desired results while ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and appearanceCollaborate with other team members, including fabricators and quality control personnel, to achieve project goals and maintain consistent product qualityPerform weld post-processing tasks, such as grinding, polishing, and finishing, to meet aesthetic and functional requirementsOperate machinery and tools related to welding and fabricationMaintain tools and equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize productionDocument work performed, materials used, and any relevant production data accurately and consistentlyMaintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure employees follow safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe mannerObserve all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use equipmentMaintain open communication with team members and leadershipUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as requiredPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Four (4) or more years of MIG welding experienceOne (1) or more years of aluminum welding experienceExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityBasic reading and writing skillsMust be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to company standardsKnowledge, Skill, & AbilitiesIn-depth knowledge of MIG welding techniques, metallurgy, and properties of different materialsAbility to perform welds on a variety of metals and materials, including Aluminum and Steel, while maintaining structural integrity and appearanceProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, team environmentAbility to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlinesDemonstrate the ability to safely set up, operate, and maintain tools and equipmentAbility to communicate effectively with team members and leadershipAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to follow all company safety policies and proceduresWillingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the field.Ability to lift and move up to 50 – 100 lbsPhysical stamina required for position and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, etc.The forementioned statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or tasks that may be required.The company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
