Supervisory Human Resources Specialist Recruitment and Placement
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Duties As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist Recruitment and Placement, you will perform the following duties: Providing Human Resources management advisory services to higher level managers and supervisors on areas of recruitment and placement. Analyzing trends and forecasting changes in workforce requirements that may impact future recruitment and placement procedures. Developing action plans to improve productivity to meet human resources goals, objectives, and milestones. Effectuating minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, and recommending other action in more serious cases. Providing guidance and instruction to subordinate Human Resources Specialist on both work and administrative matters. Supervising a group of Human Resources employees and providing technical guidance to subordinate staff. These are non‑bargaining unit positions. Requirements Conditions of employment: You must be a U.S. citizen. You must successfully pass a background investigation. You must successfully pass a drug screen. Males born after 12/31/59 must certify registration with Selective Service. All requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Probationary Period: A one‑year probationary period may be required. Qualifications One (1) year of specialized experience at GS‑12 or equivalent, performed in roles such as: Conducting job analyses on a wide variety of complex positions using research, interviews, observation, and analytical techniques; Determining the appropriate rating, ranking, and selective placement factors for vacant positions; Developing and using assessment questionnaires to evaluate the applicants' varying degrees of job qualifications; Providing management with a wide range of options for filling vacant positions, including special appointing authorities; Providing senior‑level advice on areas of recruitment and placement. National Service Experience (paid or volunteer) may be credited toward the required years of experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
