**Recreation Aide (Asian Programs)**
**Location:** Queens, New York, United States **Join our team at the New Franklin Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, where we are dedicated to providing quality care for those in need of short-term rehabilitation or long-term skilled nursing.** As a Recreation Aide in our Asian Programs department, you will play a vital role in fostering a sense of community and promoting the overall well-being of our residents. If you are passionate about working with seniors and have a strong understanding of the Asian culture, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Responsibilities:*** Plan and implement recreational activities that cater to the interests and needs of our Asian residents, such as cultural events, games, and arts and crafts programs* Collaborate with our Activities Director to design and lead activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity
* Foster relationships with residents and their families to understand their cultural background and preferences, and tailor activities accordingly
* Assist with event planning, setup, and cleanup for special events and celebrations
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for all activities and programs
