Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting individual and group activities, including games, music, arts and crafts, exercise, social events, and special celebrations

• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual abilities, preferences, and limitations

• Provide one-on-one activities for residents unable to attend group programs

• Assist residents to and from activities, ensuring safety at all times

• Observe and report resident responses, behaviors, and participation to the Activities Director

• Help decorate common areas for holidays and special events

• Maintain activity supplies and equipment in a clean and organized manner

• Assist with community outings and special events as assigned

• Document participation and attendance as required

• Follow infection control, safety policies, and residents’ rights at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or healthcare setting preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality

• Ability to work effectively with elderly residents, including those with cognitive impairments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds

• Ability to assist residents with mobility as needed

• Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care setting

• May require evenings, weekends, and holidays based on activity schedule
