Chemical Process Engineer

Senior Engineer
This dynamic chemical plant is located roughly 30 miles away from Chattanooga, it produces one hundred million pounds of surfactants annually. These surfactants find varied applications; some cater to other surfactant product companies and the rest are sold as GMP chemical intermediates to consumer companies. The site has witnessed impressive growth, expanding its headcount by over 40 in the past two years. This momentum continues with the recent addition of a senior engineer, and further expansion of another engineer is planned for the next year. In this role you will provide vital production support, optimize plant processes, increase product quality, improve the safety/environmental performance, work with R&D to develop new processes, and implement plant projects. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you’ll have a direct impact at the company. This company is offering relocation assistance and full benefits.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. Chemical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience ideally out of surfactants or a batch chemical PSM regulated plant.
- Exposure to distillation, reactions, projects, design, controls, & maintenance are all pluses.
