Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Inpatient Overflow unit in Urbana, IL, requiring an IL RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Candidate interviews are conducted by facility leadership
• Conducts bedside shift report, hourly rounding, care plan documentation, and patient education
• Responsible for admission and discharge processes, including observation status patients
• Delegates and validates patient care tasks with healthcare colleagues
• Administers medications using the Five Rights and maintains safety protocols including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and isolation precautions
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
