Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 3 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a compact or PA RN license.

Details

• Work in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
• On-call required 1-2 shifts per week
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficient in professional cath lab skills including ACT, cardioversion, circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, sheath removal/monitoring, topical hemostasis, and vascular closure systems
• Experience administering and monitoring antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, left and right heart catheterization, and related advanced procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the cardiac cath lab, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable onboarding modules required prior to start
