Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) in an acute care setting. The position involves operating CT imaging equipment, including Siemens systems, to acquire diagnostic images in accordance with established procedures. The role requires providing patient care, ensuring proper preparation and positioning, and adhering to departmental protocols. The position also includes responsibilities for equipment calibration, contrast administration, and participation in quality assurance activities. The assignment entails working during night shifts and rotating across various department clinics and divisions as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology; current Massachusetts State Radiologic and Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist license; registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent; 2 years of radiologic experience, including at least 1 year in CT; experience with Siemens CT equipment; ability to work night shifts, including weekends; strong interpersonal skills for working with patients under physical or emotional stress; knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The candidate will operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images, assist with contrast administration under radiologist supervision, execute hospital information system functions, and participate in departmental research and quality initiatives. The role may include instructing students and overseeing equipment and supplies.
