Brand Implementation & Graphic Design Intern [Remote]

Intern Project :

The purpose of this Brand Implementation & Graphic Design Intern who can support the Marketing & Communications creative team with a variety of graphic design tasks while playing a key role in CALSTART's organization-wide rebrand. This intern will gain hands-on experience implementing a comprehensive brand system across multiple marketing channels while developing professional design skills in a collaborative creative environment.

This internship will provide meaningful support during CALSTART's organization-wide rebrand while offering an emerging designer valuable hands-on experience implementing and maintaining a comprehensive visual identity system. The intern will work closely with the creative team to update branded materials, organize design assets, and help ensure consistency across the organization's marketing and communications efforts.

Intern Project Key Deliverables: •               Brand Implementation : Assist in applying CALSTART's new visual identity across marketing materials, presentations, templates, digital assets, and other branded communications.
•               Brand Guidelines Maintenance : Support the ongoing development, organization, and implementation of brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all business areas.
•               Template Development & Updates : Assist in creating and updating branded templates, including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, reports, one-pagers, email templates, and other marketing collateral.
•               Asset Organization : Update and maintain Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries, logos, icons, photography, templates, and other shared creative assets to ensure accessibility and brand compliance.
•               Design Production Support : Contribute to graphic design projects including social media graphics, email campaigns, presentations, internal communications, infographics, and other marketing materials as needed.
•               Quality Assurance : Review branded materials for consistency, accessibility, formatting, and adherence to CALSTART's visual identity standards.
•               Team Integration : Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, creative reviews, and design critiques to gain exposure to collaborative workflows.
•               Mentorship & Learning : Receive guidance from senior designers to develop technical skills, understand branding and design systems, and build a professional portfolio. Qualifications: Completed at least three years of accredited college/university level coursework Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and task management abilities. Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced remote work environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong analytical skills and ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in internal and external teams with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Desired Qualifications: •               Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
•               Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
•               Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work within established brand guidelines.
•               Eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a fast-paced in-house creative team.
