Medical Front Desk Coordinator
Location: Mid City LA
Schedule: fully onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Duration: permanent hire
Salary: $22/hr - $25/hr
Job Description: The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, answering telephone calls, gathering, and inputting patient data, collecting payments, scheduling visits, obtaining records, and other various administrative tasks for the medical office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Greet patients and check them in for appointments. Pass out new patient packets
* Verify Patient Information: insurance coverage, address, contact info, pharmacy info, etc
* Answer phones, emails, and check voicemails, text messages, etc - Schedule patients and conduct follow ups
* Assist with patient care coordination: calling specialists, imaging centers, and external facilities. Document in EHR system
* Follow up on consultation appointments and services
* Familiarity in EHR/EMR softwares
* Previous medical office experience required
