Registered Nurse - Float Unit

Location: Largo, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 05:30 - 18:00. Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Float Unit will provide comprehensive nursing care in a psychiatric and rehabilitation setting. The role encompasses a variety of patient care activities and responsibilities, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the psychiatric/rehab department.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to establish optimal care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Document all patient care activities and maintain thorough records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• Experience in psychiatric or rehabilitation nursing preferred.
