Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long-Term Care position requiring an active NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC/skilled nursing experience.

Details

• Long-Term Care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• 300-bed skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility
• LTC unit caring for an Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:18-20
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours (14:45-23:15), 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No floating between units required
• PCC (Point Click Care) charting system used, not required for consideration

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required with no license hits allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of LTC or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Strong attendance and punctuality record required
• Proof of license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely, accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies and supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Attire consists of any solid color scrubs with closed-toe shoes
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers are accepted and welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
• Once an offer is accepted, shift and RTO cannot be changed
• Holiday RTO will not be approved prior to start; time off must be arranged directly with the facility after starting
• Call-outs must be given with more than 24 hours notice
• Must complete Relias training modules no later than 3 days prior to assignment start date
