Funeral Director

Littleton & Rue Funeral Home and Crematory Springfield, Ohio Position Summary Littleton & Rue Funeral Home and Crematory is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented full-time Funeral Director to join our team. This position is responsible for guiding families through funeral, cremation, memorial, and aftercare arrangements while providing exceptional care, professionalism, and attention to detail. As part of our organization, Funeral Directors also serve families of Littleton & Rue Pet Crematory , providing the same compassion, dignity, and respect to those grieving the loss of a beloved companion. Responsibilities Meet with families to arrange funeral, cremation, memorial, and pet memorial services. Coordinate and direct visitations, funerals, memorial services, graveside services, and cremation arrangements. Prepare contracts, authorizations, death certificates, permits, obituaries, and related documentation. Coordinate with cemeteries, clergy, florists, veterans organizations, and other service providers. Participate in removals, transfers, and on-call responsibilities. Maintain accurate case records and comply with all Ohio laws and FTC regulations. Participate in daily team meetings and support fellow staff members. Represent Littleton & Rue with professionalism, compassion, and integrity in every interaction Qualifications Ohio Licensed Funeral Director (or eligible for reciprocity) Valid driver's license Excellent communication and organizational skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations Ohio Embalmer License and Crematory Operator Certification preferred Who We Are Looking For At Littleton & Rue, we hire for character, compassion, and a servant's heart .
