SQL Database Administrator

A manufacturing client is in search of a SQL Database Administrator to help stabilize and optimize a critical SQL Server environment. Currently, the server is overloaded and experiencing frequent slowdowns and outages (10-60 minutes), impacting business operations.
This individual will identify and resolve performance issues, optimize queries, and implement best practices for database maintenance and long-term stability. They will work cross-functionally with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to improve system performance and build a sustainable database environment moving forward.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment
Strong experience in:
Performance tuning
SQL Server 2019
Query optimization
T-SQL
Indexing & execution plans
SQL Server architecture
Experience troubleshooting real-time performance issues + outages


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
Manufacturing / supply chain experience
ERP / WMS systems
