Relationship Banker

Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up Engage customers in person, by appointment, and virtually Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs Obtain and process customer and account information Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products Greet clients and process basic transactions Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners Open new consumer and business accounts Complete service requests and submit credit applications Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Typically has less than four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems Proven customer service and interpersonal skills Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively Experience in the financial services industry preferred National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z Must meet and maintain NMLS registration requirements, including satisfactory criminal and credit records Must comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies Core Competencies Demonstrates strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships through proactive outreach. Proficient in educating clients on banking products and leveraging digital technologies to enhance client experience.
