Join Our Dynamic Team as an Echocardiogram Technician!

Job Description:


- Are you an experienced Echocardiogram Technician ready to make an impact?
- We are seeking a skilled professional to join our high-volume team.
- You'll be performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients each day.

Key Responsibilities:


- Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
- Coordinate with various hospital departments for scheduling and patient transport.
- Assist cardiologists in dictating exams by preparing and measuring M-modes.
- Manage patient interactions and report any changes to the physician or nurse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Log patient exams and maintain accurate patient records in the department.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities for continuous enhancement of services.
- Share on-call coverage for echo emergency exams as per departmental policy.
- Ensure quality control of equipment and coordinate repair services as needed.
- Stay updated on advances in echocardiography and collaborate with cardiologists.

Qualifications:


- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a two-year allied health education program in a patient care-related field preferred.
- Certification:
- A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.
- State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Manual dexterity for performing echocardiograms.
- Experience: A minimum of two years actively performing echocardiograms preferred.

Work Schedule:


- 4 Days - 10 Hours per day
- Full-Time Position
