Job Title: CT Technologist

License: Client License (L.R.T)
Certifications: ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification

Must-Have:
- Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology

Description:
Utilizes appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study.
Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order, following prescribed protocols.
Observes all documentation policies by filling in appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents.
Reports equipment problems to comply with regulatory requirements.
Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests.
Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principles.
Maintains and retrieves patient films and electronic data for interpretation.
Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
Receives radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery and verifies receipt as per policy.
Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration.
Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs during visits in the Radiology department.
