Local Contract CT Technologist - $75 per hour

Prime Staffing is seeking a local contract CT Technologist for a local contract job in New York, New York. Job Overview Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract FLEX SCHEDULING: 4-10 hour shifts or 3-12 hour shifts per week Responsibilities Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff. Perform CT studies and general radiological procedures. Review imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided. Review all questionable orders with the radiologist and, at the radiologist's discretion, the referring physician. Position patient and select appropriate options to ensure best‑case imaging. Observe patient while in the CT area for change in status and make appropriate intervention or contact primary caretakers for instruction. Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation. Offer detailed explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions as appropriate. Operate and maintain equipment daily, maintaining logbooks with equipment performance data: schedule PM, perform QA, maintain records required for and participate in inspections. Perform clerical responsibilities associated with acquisition, processing, and archiving of patient records. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalency. A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, including operating PET‑CT equipment. NYS License, ARRT/CT certified. Current BLS required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Chris Baily
