Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology ICU position at a major academic medical center, requiring ICU experience with central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration on night shifts.

Details

• Adult Medical Oncology ICU unit (Weinberg 5C) within a large academic hospital setting
• Mixed unit serving both ICU and floor-level oncology patients
• Patient population includes adult oncology bone marrow transplant (BMT), hematologic malignancies, and solid tumor malignancies
• Requires management of central lines, arterial lines, vasopressor titration, and cardiac monitoring
• Preferred equipment experience includes Alaris pumps and CRRT
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed by the unit
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• ICU experience required
• Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration required
• Acute care and telemetry (tele) experience required
• Oncology experience preferred
• CRRT experience preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• 13-week contract
