Job Details The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the company to patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures. The PSR III will:
- Perform venipuncture and clinical/forensic specimen collection.
- Prepare, process, label, and verify patient specimens accurately.
- Verify patient demographic information and obtain required signatures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient service.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support Patient Service Centers and physician offices based on business needs.
- Travel between multiple locations and provide coverage with minimal notice.
- Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and dress code.
- Demonstrate strong communication, customer service, judgment, and organizational skills.
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required.
- Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections .
- Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
- Ability to perform accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/clean driving record, if applicable.
- Ability to travel and cover multiple locations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required .
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
