Summary Technician B performs preventative maintenance inspections, diagnoses,and repairs minor to moderate problems on all coaches, cutaways, supportvehicles, and equipment with oversite from Class A Technicians and supervisors. Must help to ensure a work environment that meets safety and regulatorystandards for RATP Dev. You will be responsible for retrofit campaigncompletions, team support, troubleshooting, repair, operations interaction, andgeneral support of the entire fleet. Technicians must attend and participate inmeetings and training on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis. Responsibilities Inspects and verifies problems on coaches using various diagnostic equipment Cleans, repairs, and replaces coach equipment as requires Test coaches for proper working order including road driving test. Utilizes computer diagnostic equipment to include but not limited to; Cummins Insight, Allison prognostics, complex electrical schematics; ladder logic diagrams, VANSCO and DINEX coach control systems to diagnose and troubleshoot intermediate level difficulty coach electrical functions. Reviews repair manuals and part manuals for aid in making minor to major repairs, Performs both in-house and road call coach repairs using various hand, power, pnuematic and precision tools. Repair, maintain, troubleshoot and service electrical buses. Maintain detailed and timely paperwork and documentation for repairs and installations Performs preventative maintenance inspections on all types of transit buses following specific check lists.
