Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

Lead the design, preparation, and continuous improvement of balance sheet and income statement reconciliations across multiple business lines
Play a key role in month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement accuracy
Drive process optimization and implement best practices to support scalable, timely, and accurate reporting
Support revenue, WIP, AR, and expense accounting activities, ensuring proper classification and compliance
Collaborate closely with finance leadership on strategic initiatives, systems enhancements, and use of technology
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and audit or financial statement review processes
Operate independently on special projects and ad-hoc analysis with minimal oversight

Must-Have Skills & Experience (Required)

3 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
Demonstrated success improving or redesigning accounting processes
High level of technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working in data-driven environments
Curiosity and readiness to work with modern analytics tools (Power BI, AI-enabled reporting)

Preferred Background

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA a plus
Experience working in multi-entity or project-based environments
Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage or similar platforms preferred)
Salesforce a plus!
