Histology Technician I - One (1) On-Call Varied ShiftThe Histology Technician I is responsible for ensuring all specimens/tissues that come into the gross room are processed for workup in the pathology department. This may include but it not limited to logging, preparing frozen samples and staining tissue samples. Tissue specimens received from surgical, diagnostic or autopsy cases are sorted, logged and prioritized according to the standards required.QualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Preferred:Associates Degree or higher in a science fieldSix (6) months of clinical experience in a pathology/laboratory departmentOverviewNationally Recognized.
