Registered Nurse - Cath Lab - Days

Job Title STAFF NURSE - 0635 Hours of Work 7a - 5:30 PM, Monday - Sunday. Job Family Nursing Reports To Nurse Manager All Staff Nurses (direct and indirect) Job Purpose Provide highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and supervise assigned team members while delivering age-appropriate and compassionate care. Responsibilities Communicate clearly and openly with patients, families, and team members. Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment. Account for your performance and seek continuous improvement of patient experience. Take initiative for professional growth and contribute to a winning team. Adhere to general hospital standards and promote a cooperative work environment. Ensure an accurate and timely written communication of patient information. Provide a therapeutic environment through safe medication and IV administration. Utilize the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care. Assume responsibility for nursing components of patient/family educational processes. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, colleagues, and the facility. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred). Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas. Current Basic Life Support Certification. Additional certifications as required by department. Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program. Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards. Experience with confidential material. Physical Demands 20% standing, 60% standing/moving, 15% sitting, 2% climbing. 20% bending, 2% kneeling, 1% crawling, 30% reaching, 90% handling. 90% talking. Exposure to blood and body fluids: 80%. Carrying: 50% up to 10 lbs, 30% 10‑20 lbs, 10% 20‑50 lbs, 10% 50‑100 lbs. Lifting: similar distribution to carrying. Visual demands: essential vision required.
