Field Operations Technician

About the Role A new opportunity has opened within our Blickfeld division—where the strengths of Senstar and Blickfeld come together to deliver innovative sensing solutions across logistics, industrial, and infrastructure environments. We’re looking for a Field Operations Technician who will report to our VP Technical Operations and enjoys working hands‑on with technology and wants to help bring these solutions to life in the field. In this role, you’ll support the installation and deployment of LiDAR‑based systems, gaining real‑world experience with hardware, networking, and modern sensing technology. What You’ll Do Travel to customer sites across North America (up to ~50%) to assist with installing LiDAR and related systems Mount sensors and install supporting hardware and infrastructure Run and terminate Ethernet cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a) Help set up network switches, modems, and system components Work safely in industrial environments, including at heights and in outdoor conditions Power up systems and confirm everything is working as expected Check network connectivity and basic configurations Help troubleshoot issues alongside engineering teams Support smooth commissioning and handover to customers Represent Blickfeld professionally on‑site Communicate clearly with customers during installations Help ensure each deployment is a positive experience Provide basic guidance as systems go live Prepare equipment before it ships to site Help manage tools, inventory, and field kits Document installations with notes and photos Support logistics and staging activities Follow site safety requirements and installation best practices Contribute ideas to improve field processes and deployment efficiency What You Bring 0–3 years of experience in a hands‑on technical role (field service, cabling, electrical, IT hardware, or similar) Basic understanding of networking (IP addresses, switches, connectivity) Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to read basic technical drawings A willingness to travel and work on‑site Nice to Have Experience in industrial or logistics environments Familiarity with PoE devices, cellular connectivity, or Linux/Windows systems Any certifications (OSHA, lift equipment, low‑voltage, etc.) Exposure to sensors, automation, or data‑driven systems What Sets You Apart You like working with your hands and figuring things out You’re curious and eager to learn new technologies You take pride in doing clean, high‑quality work You’re reliable, adaptable, and a strong team player What We Offer Work hands‑on with cutting‑edge LiDAR and sensing technology Contribute to real‑world deployments across logistics and industrial environments Gain exposure to the combined innovation of Blickfeld and the global reach of Senstar Join a collaborative, supportive team with strong technical mentorship Grow your career with clear pathways into more advanced technical or engineering roles Receive a competitive salary and a comprehensive total rewards package that recognizes your impact Our Commitment At Senstar and Blickfeld, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible workplace that values a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
