About the Position

Job Title: IMCU Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Duration: 48-hour contract Shift: Days/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting - Current BLS and ACLS certifications Description: Provide care for a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions. Manage patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes type 2, substance abuse issues, and encephalopathy. Administer heparin drips and manage associated protocols. Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Adhere to established protocols and procedures for patient care in the IMCU setting. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
