Primary Functions

·         Manage the overall logistics of the Shipping / Receiving Dept.

·         Direct the activities of the Shipping/Receiving team

·         Communicate with the office on shipping and receiving matters

·         Troubleshoot existing processes and create new processes as needed

·         Track inventory levels, update ERP system

·         Shipping process:

o   Use company ERP system to assign packing slips, invoices, and other shipping documents

o   Pick and package inventory to satisfy customer orders

o   Work with transportation partners to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery to customers

o   Manage FTL and LTL shipments

o   Create paperwork necessary for import and export shipments

o   Re-package and label product as necessary

·         Receiving process:

o   Verify receipt of correct items and quantities against purchase orders

o   Note quantities received on vendor packing lists

o   If correct, sign and date the receiving paperwork (PO & packing list) and deliver to Accounting

o   Deliver received goods to appropriate departments

o   If discrepancies' found, work with Purchasing for resolution

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and move about for extended lengths of time

Must be able lift 60 lbs.

Must be able to operate material handling equipment

Technical Skills

Must be able to understand and follow all shipping documents

Basic Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Basic knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Must have legal status to work in the USA

Must be able to read and write in English
