Shipping and Receiving Clerk Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Brea, CA Schedule: 7am Pay Rate: [Insert range or "DOE"]
Overview: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in a busy plastics manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials such as resins, pellets, and packaging supplies.
- Accurately document all materials received and update inventory systems.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and company specifications.
- Create and manage shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials.
- Ensure that all materials are properly labeled, stored, and tracked.
- Communicate with production and purchasing departments regarding material deliveries or shortages.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or plastics environment.
- Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
