Shipping and Receiving Clerk Plastics Manufacturing

Overview: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in a busy plastics manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials such as resins, pellets, and packaging supplies.
• Accurately document all materials received and update inventory systems.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and company specifications.
• Create and manage shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials.
• Ensure that all materials are properly labeled, stored, and tracked.
• Communicate with production and purchasing departments regarding material deliveries or shortages.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or plastics environment.
• Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
