Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, supporting K-12 students in an impactful, urban environment for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17th - June 11th). With a manageable, mild-to-moderate caseload of approximately 60 students, you’ll be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, shaping positive educational outcomes within a vibrant school community. This is a full-time, onsite role (35 hours per week) offering valuable professional growth and the chance to make a difference in students’ lives from the Flint area. Qualifications & Experience: Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification is required Official university transcripts must be provided before district presentation Prior experience as a school psychologist or with an agency in similar settings preferred Strong understanding of Michigan regulations related to special education (MARSE and IDEA) Comfortable and passionate about serving students and families in an urban district Awareness of challenges facing urban youth and knowledge of community resources for support Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on early identification and intervention planning for students facing academic, social, or emotional hurdles Conduct psychological and educational assessments to help determine special education eligibility Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff, participating in ongoing professional development Articulate assessment results clearly and compassionately to families and staff, contributing to effective educational planning Ensure the implementation of special education policies and procedures across assigned schools Support a positive school climate and help connect families with community resources This opportunity offers a stable, rewarding schedule aligned with the school year.
