Electro-Mechanical Technician – Night ShiftWe are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support a high-speed manufacturing and production environment. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving complex production equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.The ideal candidate has a strong combination of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, with hands-on knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motors, HMIs, controls, pneumatics, instrumentation, and industrial automation.This is a hands-on maintenance position for someone who can independently diagnose equipment problems, respond to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and work effectively with production and maintenance teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipmentTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issuesDiagnose equipment breakdowns and make timely repairs to minimize production downtimeTroubleshoot and modify PLC programming as neededTroubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems and related controlsWork with VFDs, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and industrial automation equipmentTroubleshoot and repair 3-phase electrical systems, including 480V circuitsWork with motor starters, motor controls, power distribution, and electrical wiringInstall and repair electrical panels, motors, control equipment, power circuits, and lightingTroubleshoot pneumatic control systems and process-control instrumentationRead and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, and equipment manualsPerform inspections and identify worn, damaged, or failing componentsReplace and install mechanical and electrical componentsLubricate and service machinery and moving componentsPerform calibration of microprocessor-based control equipment and instrumentationUse diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, meggers, amprobes, and other testing equipmentDocument maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditionsMaintain organized maintenance shops, electrical rooms, PLC rooms, tools, and parts inventoriesCoordinate preventive maintenance activities with production and managementWork with outside equipment and service vendors when technical assistance is neededAssist other maintenance technicians as priorities requireIdentify opportunities for equipment and process improvementsAssist with special maintenance and improvement projectsSupport production operations when needed, including training or assisting machine operatorsFollow all applicable safety procedures, OSHA requirements, NFPA standards, GMP requirements, and company policiesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or technical education is a plusStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience maintaining manufacturing or industrial production equipmentExperience with PLCs and industrial controlsExperience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems preferredKnowledge of VFDs, motors, HMIs, servo drives, and automation equipmentExperience troubleshooting 480V, 3-phase electrical systemsAbility to read electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentationKnowledge of pneumatic systems and industrial instrumentationAbility to use electrical testing equipmentBasic computer and maintenance documentation skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to safely lift and manipulate equipment and componentsWillingness to work nights and a Monday–Saturday schedule as neededPreferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is highly valued:Industrial maintenanceElectro-mechanical maintenanceManufacturing equipmentHigh-speed packaging equipmentAllen-Bradley PLCsPLC troubleshooting and programmingVFDsServo drivesHMIs480V electrical systemsMotor controls and startersPneumatic control systemsProcess control instrumentationElectrical panels and control systemsWeldingPlumbingPreventive maintenanceIndustrial automationWhat We're Looking ForThe right candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment under pressure. You should be able to identify the cause of equipment failures, determine the appropriate repair, and complete the work safely and efficiently.Strong communication skills are important because this position works closely with maintenance technicians, production employees, engineering, supervisors, management, and outside vendors.An industrial maintenance apprenticeship or technical training is a plus, but hands-on experience with industrial electrical and mechanical systems is highly valued.IND2
