Security Officer - Patrol Ambassador

Job Description Security Officer – Patrol Ambassador – Tucson, AZ Position type: Full Time Pay rate: $15.45 / Hour Schedule: DayTime – Mon 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Tue 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Wed 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Thu 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts according to post procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or potential security concerns. Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor access requirements, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance issues through appropriate reporting channels. Support day‑to‑day location operations by following assigned post orders, maintaining a professional presence, and assisting with security‑related requests from authorized personnel. Minimum Requirements A guard card or license is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
