License: NC or Compact license pending is acceptable
Certifications: ACLS, BLS


Must-Have:
- Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab settings.
- Proficient in procedures such as Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations, Interventional Catheterizations, and IABP Placement/Removal.
- Knowledge in administering and monitoring medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors.
- Capable of performing IV therapy and blood product administration.
- Skills in 12 Lead EKG interpretation, infection prevention, and management of dysrhythmias.


Description:
This position requires a qualified Cath Lab Tech to work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
The candidate will assist in various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities include performing cardiac stent placements, diagnostic catheterizations, and interventional catheterizations.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing various medical devices and technologies.
Experience with patient management in a catheterization laboratory is essential.
The role involves working with patients diagnosed with a range of cardiovascular diseases.
Key diagnoses include coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease, and congenital heart disease.
The candidate will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
Candidates will also be responsible for monitoring procedural sedation and managing infection control protocols.
Occasional late days will be required, typically 4-5 days per month.
On-call duty is required one day a week and every fifth weekend.
Floating to other areas may be necessary as needed.
Special equipment used in the lab includes Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, and ultrasound systems.
The pharmacy and documentation systems utilized in the unit include Pyxis and Epic.
This position requires a commitment to safety protocols and providing high-quality patient care.
