Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech Radiology / Cardiology to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within a cardiac cath lab setting. Candidates must hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including cardiac stent placement, catheterizations, PCI, IABP, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and more.
• Prepare and manage medications such as antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, and procedural sedation agents.
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, starting IVs, and managing central lines and ports.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpretation of EKGs, infection prevention practices, and manage dysrhythmias.
• Support advanced procedures such as ASD and PFO closures, Impella insertions, TAVI/TAVR, and vascular studies.
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, Penumbra, Ultrasound, Shockwave, GE Mac Lab system, and more.
• Adhere to safety protocols, radiation safety, and proper documentation using Epic system.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience applicable to cardiac cath labs.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Proficiency with 12 Lead EKG, ACT, cardioversion, and infection control practices.
• Preferred skills include vascular procedures, laser-assisted procedures, pressure ulcer prevention, and equipment management.

Work Environment:

• Patient to staff ratio: 1:1
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:45-15:15, with occasional late days (rare after 17:00).
• Call required: One day per week and every fifth weekend.
• Float as needed.
• No weekend shifts.
• Orientation: 16 hours provided.
• Scrubs provided.

Patient Population:

Patients referred for cardiovascular diagnoses, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease, congenital heart conditions, and vascular disease.

Special Equipment & Major Procedures:

Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, Roto, Ultrasound, Shockwave, ACIST, and GE Mac Lab system.
