Real Estate Development & Leasing Associate

Overview The role primarily focuses on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, and leasing. The associate will represent domestic and international investors, developers, owners, operators, lenders, and institutional clients in data center, digital infrastructure, and other commercial real estate transactions. Day-to-day work involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, development agreements, easements, infrastructure agreements, and closing documents. Responsibilities include advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and operational matters for data centers and commercial real estate assets, as well as handling all phases of commercial leasing transactions from structuring to closing. The role requires conducting and coordinating due diligence, including lease, title, and survey review, and due diligence reporting. The associate will assist with multi-jurisdictional and international transactions by coordinating local counsel and managing cross-border diligence and execution processes, and analyzing jurisdiction-specific issues related to leasing structures, utilities, permitting, property rights, and data center operations. Required experience includes strong commercial and build-to-suit leasing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease documentation, and working with developers and project sponsors on ground-up development projects. Experience with industrial and data center leasing is a plus.
