Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current nursing license to practice in Ohio Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: Knowledge of nursing process and practice Description: Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process. Assists patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive outcomes. Exhibits clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care. Actively develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies. Encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. Provides care in a unit servicing both adult and pediatric patients. Supports a Level 3 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center. Adheres to BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS protocols.
