PeopleReady of Fresno, CA is now hiring Material Handlers. This position is responsible for safe and efficient operation of a forklift to handle completed finished goods pallets within the extrusion production facility. This role involves the movement, inventory and staging of resin materials, emitters and packaging. In addition, weighing, verification and identification of all scrap waste produced on each production line. Including collaboration with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow, along with other miscellaneous duties as required by the Production Supervisor.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16.90 - $16.90 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Material Handler :

• Responsible for following instructions and performing daily tasks
• Responsible for assisting in the loading of resin from Hopper Trucks into Railcars and unloading of railcars into material day bins if required
• Responsible for the staging and filling of gaylords for the production lines and day bins
• Responsible for ensuring the staging areas for Virgin/Recycled materials and finished goods pallets are kept clean, including, and not limited to the following areas: Emitters, Packaging, Masterbatches (Color and Black), Ancillary Equipment, and Scrap waste areas
• Responsible for assisting with production emitters, resin and packaging inventories as required
• Responsible for the emptying of trash and cardboard bins
• Will also help in providing breaks and lunches to line operators per supervisor's requirements
• Communicate with other material handlers during shift transition for the coordination of material needs for the upcoming shift
• Ensure that all incoming materials from the warehouse are staged in their designated areas
• Responsible for ensuring all finished goods pallets are wrapped properly to the highest quality standards. And that all pallets placed in the FG staging areas are manually identified with date, line and shift on the stretch wrapping
• Responsible for verifying the correct coil labels and WO pallet label matches the production WO
• Resonsible for verifying all material day bins are at or near full capacity at shift change and during the shift
• Responsible for weighing and identifying all scrap waste from each production line and labelling it with the following: Work Order Number, Waste Number, Line Number and total Weight (Kg)
• Responsible for forklift daily safety checks
• Other duties as assigned

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day) & 3rd Shift (Night)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
• 1 year of experience in Logistics related field
• Experienced driver of sit-down, stand-up reach forklifts
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram Communication and Language skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos

• Ability to work independently, with limited direct supervision, and effectively manage tasks and time
• Effective communication skills written & verbal
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Passport
• Participate in all training exercises needed to perform the job satisfactorily
• The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
• Forklift and RF Scanner experience
• Background check and drug test required
