Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote) - Only locals

Interview Process: 1 Round (Virtual/In-Person)

Candidate Location: Must be a South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed)

Overview

seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst - Consultant to support its Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modernization program .

This role is part of a large-scale transformation initiative aimed at improving healthcare outcomes through innovative systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing, healthcare/Medicaid domain, and SDLC processes , with the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, regression, and user interface testing to ensure application reliability and stability
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and QA/UAT processes
Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases
Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution
Design and implement manual and automated testing scripts
Participate in defect triage, retesting, and validation
Create and maintain QA documentation, reports, and status updates
Support negative testing and usability testing for applications
Ensure adherence to QA standards, governance policies, and best practices
Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure quality compliance
Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience translating business requirements into test cases and scenarios
3+ years of experience in healthcare operations , preferably Medicaid domain
Strong ability to track, analyze, and report defects and testing status
Experience with test design tools and methodologies
Hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing
Strong understanding of SDLC processes (Waterfall & Agile)
Excellent communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence
5+ years working in large enterprise or e-business environments
Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Prior experience in government or healthcare projects

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field
(or equivalent experience)
