Human Resources Generalist - $34-40/hr.

Location: Irvine, CA
Work Setting: 100% Onsite — No Remote Option
Position Type: Long-Term Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Job

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to help support employees and the HR team. This person will help employees with HR questions, support new hires, plan company events, and create training materials.

The right person should be organized, friendly, professional, and comfortable working with private employee information.

What You Will Do

Employee Support

• Answer employee questions through the HR support inbox.
• Help employees with questions about HR policies, payroll, benefits, and other HR topics.
• Research questions and make sure they are solved on time.
• Keep clear records of employee questions and issues.
• Work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs).
• Handle private and sensitive employee information with care.
• Follow company policies and employment laws.

Employee Events and Experience

• Help plan and run company events, such as:
• • Town halls
  • Volunteer events
  • Holiday parties
  • Training events
  • Employee recognition programs
• Help create programs that improve the employee experience.
• Listen to employees and provide helpful and respectful support.
• Help build a positive workplace.

New Hire Onboarding and Training

• Manage the new hire onboarding process.
• Help new employees learn about the company, their job, and HR policies.
• Create training materials, presentations, and infographics.
• Use Canva and PowerPoint to make clear and professional materials.
• Help explain HR policies and programs to employees.

HR Support and Data

• Support HR Business Partners and company leaders.
• Use employee data to help identify trends and improve HR programs.
• Create reports and presentations using Excel and other tools.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience as an HR Representative, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist.
• Experience helping with employee events, onboarding, or employee programs.
• Experience supporting HR leaders or HR Business Partners is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience creating reports and working with data.
• Experience using an HR system, especially ADP.
• Strong skills with Canva and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with HR policies and programs.
• Healthcare or other regulated-industry experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting a large and diverse group of employees is a plus.

Work Conditions

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Some evening, weekend, or holiday work may be needed based on company events or business needs.

The job may require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 20 pounds.

This is a 100% onsite position in Irvine. There is no remote option .
