Union position in a Bread Manufacturing Plant.What you will be doingWe are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to keep our bread manufacturing operations running at peak efficiency. This is a critical hands-on role in a production facility where equipment uptime directly impacts product quality and output. As a Maintenance Engineer you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of automated and mechanical systems and complete preventative maintenance. You will prioritize the safety of yourself, your coworkers, and the company.Plant equipment you will be working on will include but limited to the ff.:Category - Equipment (Maintenance and repair)Baking and Production - Mixers, Dividers, Proof Box, OvensAutomation and Controls - PLC, VFDs and Control PanelsUtilities and Services Systems - Refrigeration / cooling, Boiler, WastewaterPackaging - Slicers, Baggers, Date coder, Check Weighers, Metal Detectors, ConveyorsKnowledge and skills required / preferred for this roleKey Requirement: Candidates must have hands-on working knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). This is essential to the role and will be tested during the selection process.1 - PLC - Read, interpret, and troubleshoot PLC logic. Diagnose faults, modify parameters, and workwith OEM technical support when needed.2 - VFD - Configure, tune, and diagnose VFDs across mixer, conveyor, and oven systems. Understandparameter settings and drive replacement.3 - Electrical Systems - Understand electrical schematics, work safely on control panels, sensors, and circuits incompliance with electrical safety codes.4 - Mechanical Systems - Understand bearings, drive systems, and mechanical alignments.5 - Refrigeration Systems - Understand refrigerants and compressor systems to service and maintain refrigeration units.6 - Boller & Steam Systems - Operate and maintain boilers and steam traps.7 - Waste Water Systems - Support in maintaining plant wastewater treatment systems to meet environmentalregulations.8 - Quality Equipment - Maintain and calibrate check weighers and metal detectors to ensure food safety andregulatory compliance.9 - Food Safety & GMP - Apply food-grade lubricants, follow good manufacturing practices and ensure all maintenancework protects product integrity.10 - Preventive Maintenance - Perform scheduled PMs, communicate preventive maintenance needs and ensurecompliance. Identify malfunctions. Follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications for repairs11 - Fabrication - Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools.
