RN - Tele Float Pool

Registered Nurse (RN)This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit with responsibilities including acute care, patient monitoring, and collaboration within a dynamic healthcare environment. Candidates will be required to float amongst various units as needed.Shift and ScheduleShift: DaysShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 48 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: 1-2 winter holidaysResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a telemetry and medical/surgical environment.Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes and needs efficiently.Titrate medications as per hospital guidelines.Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.Float between various units, including Med/Surg, Neuro, Cardiac, and Orthopedic.Perform patient screenings and support as needed during high-demand periods.Ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years in acute care.BLS Certification required.Provide care for 4-5 patients per registered nurse.Ability to float to all medical/surgical and telemetry divisions.Experience with titratable drips such as Insulin, Heparin, and Nitro preferred.Unit InformationThe telemetry and medical/surgical units include various specialized areas, managing patients with diverse needs:Surgical unitLong term low acuity unitGeneral medical cases unitShort stay and cardiac unitNeuro unitOrthopedic and spine unitOrientationSuccessful candidates will undergo orientation, which includes 12 hours dedicated to familiarizing with specific units within the division.Additional NotesAll staff members are expected to take breaks when scheduled and cannot decline opportunities for rest during their shifts.
