Description

• Assess patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments and develop personalized treatment strategies
• Implement physical therapy techniques focusing on enhancing mobility, building strength, maintaining balance, and improving function
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to maximize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic goals, planning for discharge, and home exercise routines
• Accurately document evaluations, interventions, and patient progress to meet facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in team conferences and collaborative care discussions to ensure integrated treatment delivery

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or relevant degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Specialty certifications (such as in pediatrics, geriatrics, or orthopedics) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is highly desirable
• Capability to manage patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
