Litigation Paralegal (Raleigh)

Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation in a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and organizing legal documents, drafting and filing pleadings and motions, and managing case files and discovery materials. The role involves drafting simple court filings, summarizing documents and depositions, coordinating with clients and third parties, and tracking deadlines and court dates. The Litigation Paralegal will also assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, preparing witness lists, and supporting attorneys in court-related tasks. This position requires consistent on-site collaboration with attorneys and staff to ensure cases progress efficiently and in compliance with court rules.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review, including drafting, formatting, and organizing case materials.
• Candidates should possess experience preparing Pleadings and Motions, including drafting, revising, and filing documents with courts.
• Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Candidates should be proficient in case management and office software, including document management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a litigation environment.
• Relevant qualifications may include a paralegal certificate or degree, and prior experience as a litigation paralegal or in a law firm setting.
• Familiarity with local court rules and procedures in North Carolina, and the ability to work collaboratively and maintain client confidentiality, are beneficial.
