Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,263-$2,306 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Start date: 09/14/2026 Work setting: hospital-based Med-Surg unit, including a medical stroke unit Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients, including those on the medical stroke unit Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed Perform neurological assessments (NIHSS) and monitor for changes in status, escalating concerns per protocol Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care and timely discharge planning Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic documentation system Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to unit policies Requirements Active registered nurse license (Illinois) or eligibility for licensure in Illinois NIHSS certification required for the medical stroke unit Med-Surg nursing experience preferred; ability to work nights in a hospital setting Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN degree) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and adapt to night shift demands Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours and competitive weekly pay for the assignment duration Travel assignment with dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC during the term Access to assignment- and credentialing-related assistance as needed Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
