Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (waivable) Pass criminal background check Ability to read, write, understand, and follow multi‑step written and verbal instructions in English Associate’s degree or other certification from an accredited speech‑language pathology assistant program Oregon state speech‑language pathology assistant certification Oregon state driver’s license Essential Job Functions Assist Speech Language Pathologist with assessment and treatment of students with speech and language challenges Provide direct treatment to students per an established instructional plan under supervision Assist in planning appropriate interventions and collecting data to assess effectiveness Document student progress toward instructional plan objectives Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce instruction Conduct speech and language screenings, per protocols, without interpretation Adapt instructional materials for classroom use as needed Perform clerical tasks: maintain student records, prepare instructional and classroom materials, maintain speech and language equipment Maintain effective and respectful relationships with staff and students The statements above describe general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and may not be all‑inclusive.
