Our Orthopedics # Sports Center practice is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to actively and collaboratively participate in all aspects of patient care in specialty practice.

Overview of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist physicians/providers with medical procedures, examinations, and accurate patient documentation.
• Coordinate patient care, including follow-ups, referrals, test results, and specialty-related concerns.
• Administer medications, injections, and diagnostic tests as ordered and within scope of practice.
• Perform patient triage in person and by phone, including new patient referrals according to practice protocols.
• Provide patient education and communicate medical information and care instructions in a timely manner.
• Collect specimens, process medication refills and orders, and obtain required prior authorizations.
• Conduct appropriate physical and behavioral assessments and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Prepare, stock, clean, and maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain inventory, quality-control records, refrigerator logs, and report equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain current evidence-based knowledge, attend required training, support practice operations, and float to other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses
• Licenses/Registrations: Current license as a licensed practical nurse within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or State of Physician Practice location as required; current AHA certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Experience: Two years nursing experience in a physician’s office preferred.

Strong organizational, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to understand instructions, manage multiple priorities, and work independently. Ability to exercise sound nursing judgment in emergency situations.
